Introducing Climate First Bank’s Nonprofit Referral Program

July 9, 2026

At Climate First Bank, we believe financial decisions can and should be a force for good. That belief is at the heart of everything we do, from how we serve our customers to how we support organizations working on the front lines of climate action and community impact.

This spring, Climate First Bank proudly launched a new initiative designed to deepen our support for nonprofit organizations while expanding access to values-aligned banking. The Nonprofit Referral Program creates a simple, impactful way for nonprofits to generate additional funding by sharing select Climate First Bank products with their networks, turning everyday banking activity into direct support for important missions.

Each organization receives customized, co-branded landing pages powered by our sister company, OneEthos, along with marketing support, making it easy to share the opportunity with their audiences. When individuals or businesses open eligible accounts through a nonprofit’s unique landing page or promo code, Climate First Bank makes a $100 donation for eligible individual accounts or a $250 donation for eligible business accounts directly to that nonprofit partner. Terms apply.*

The Nonprofit Referral Program is one more way we’re working to strengthen the organizations that bank with us while attracting new, mission-aligned customers and growing our impact together.

We’re proud to launch this pilot program alongside a dynamic group of nonprofit organizations working at the intersection of climate action, education, equity, and community impact:

Florida Green Schools PTSA

Florida Green Schools PTSA is a statewide organization that helps schools and PTAs create healthier, more sustainable learning environments for students and families across Florida. The organization provides resources, advocacy tools, and practical guidance to support greener school operations, stronger environmental education, and reduced costs. Its current work includes lobbying for food recovery and waste reduction in schools, supporting student advocacy around sustainability policy, and helping school communities advance initiatives such as electric buses, rooftop solar, school gardens, and plastic reduction.

Florida Soil Health Coalition

The Florida Soil Health Coalition is a new self-funded working group with a big reach. This network of innovative farmers, ranchers, scientists, conservationists, and advocates has a mission to capture carbon, restore the water cycle, and increase biodiversity by enhancing healthy soils. Regenerative practices include cover cropping to protect soil and stop runoff, minimizing synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, rotating diverse crops, and planting buffer zones between fields and sensitive areas. Incentivizing these practices makes farms more profitable while increasing nutrients, protecting clean water, storing carbon, and supporting wildlife and pollinator habitat. Through an array of programs, including farmer-to-farmer skill-sharing, farm field days, public outreach, and monthly webinars, the Coalition is bringing together the Florida farming community to unleash the regenerative power of nature.

IDEAS For Us

IDEAS For Us (IDEAS) is a 501(c)(3) grassroots environmental nonprofit organization and accredited NGO of the United Nations creating environmental solutions related to energy, water, food, waste, and ecology. Their mission is to develop ideas, fund action, and scale solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges, while their vision is to contribute to a future where humanity thrives in harmony with nature and in peace with one another. Since 2008, IDEAS has taken action in more than 40 countries through programs focused on renewable energy, urban agriculture, ecological restoration, environmental education, waste reduction, and community resilience.

The organization serves communities across the state seeking greater access to clean energy solutions and a more just energy future. ReThink's current work includes the Sustainable Energy Efficiency Deployment (SEED) Project, which helps reduce household energy burdens and strengthen community-based resilience in low- to moderate-income neighborhoods, along with youth outreach, adult education, and clean energy advocacy.

SustainEnergyFinance (SEF) is a Utah nonprofit green bank that finances practical energy improvements that make homes and communities more affordable, resilient, and efficient. The organization serves Utah families, developers, builders, contractors, and community partners seeking accessible financing for clean energy and energy-efficient upgrades. Its current work includes home energy improvements, financing multi-family affordable housing, expanding partnerships with community groups, and building programs that strengthen housing affordability, improve energy efficiency, and broaden access to smart energy investments across the state. This partnership is unique because every solar loan sourced by SEF includes a $100 donation at loan closing from Climate First Bank’s fintech affiliate, OneEthos, in addition to the donations for opening eligible banking products.
