Cooper Boeff, Commercial Solar Credit Analyst, has a diverse background in finance, having worked at several major banks in various roles, including operations and loan processing.

"[Climate First Bank] offered a different approach to what banks should do for corporate social responsibility—not just making a profit but also having a mission beyond profit for shareholders. I found that very interesting." Cooper said.

Working closely with lenders to analyze financials and determine the viability of loans, Cooper is responsible for underwriting commercial and consumer solar deals.

"Analyzing numbers is important, but it's crucial to understand the context behind them. And especially with small companies, it feels more impactful," Cooper explained.

For Cooper, transitioning from large financial institutions to a mission-driven community bank was refreshing.

"It's cool to realize that you're not just supporting businesses but also doing something good for the environment with impactful lending initiatives that do good by our planet, such as residential and commercial solar," he shared.

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Cooper is a proud graduate of Iowa State University. After graduation, his love of the outdoors led him to St. Petersburg, Florida. He enjoys golf, tennis, hiking and the beach.

"I wanted to be somewhere warmer where I can golf year-round," Cooper said. "I've been on vacation down to Clearwater before, so I already knew I liked the area and the vibe," Cooper said.
